Guardian Liberty Voice Important Info for Writers

March 26, 2015 at 11:57 pm (Rants) (, , )

Are you a new writer considering writing for Guardian Liberty Voice? If so, this article will be extremely useful to you. First, the most important thing you must do is to Google the phrase Guardian Liberty Voice. After doing so, you will run across a boatload of information including blogs, articles and even full length feature stories about how this company is a scam, and how its owner, DiMarkco Chandler, cheats and abuses writers. When reviewing this information, it is important to remember that where there is smoke, there is fire.

My personal story is that I joined the company in 2013. I realized early success with a few articles, and all seemed well. Chandler told me that the company was currently worth $27 million, and that I would receive equity ownership after six months of satisfactory work experience. I became an editor and started placing other writers underneath me as per his recruitment program which is similar to a multi-level marketing scheme. I did eventually sign a contract to receive 1% equity in the company, and I was promised that I would receive quarterly equity payments worth that amount.

I also signed a contract that stated I would provide about one article per business day. Soon, though, Chandler started putting a lot of pressure on me to work ever-increasing hours, and to work on weekends. He would call me in the middle of the night yelling about one thing or another, and was outright abusive on numerous occasions, name calling and demeaning me. One day, he called me and doubled the amount of articles he demanded I provide in order to keep my commission. He also had stated that I would begin making commission off the writers under me as soon as I recruited them. However, he also changed his mind on that, and decided that I would not start making any money off of them until approximately a month later, because he wanted to use that money to pay the trainers in “boot camp” (his training program for new writers) instead of me, the recruiter.

The real trouble began when I noticed that my writers were not getting paid. In fact, when I first joined the paper, there was no payroll system in place. This should have thrown up a red flag that Chandler had no intention of paying many of the people who were giving him content. As it turns out, I had to consistently fight to get my writers paid, and pay was always late. During this time, Chandler began piling more and more work on me and on everyone who worked there. He demanded we hold endless meetings with our teams each week, and that we attend multiple daily meetings. He would threaten to withdraw the “equity ownership” if we did not comply. He then insisted that the editors work a full eight hour shift once a week, that we take over writing all the contracts for the writers, and that we fill out reams and reams of paperwork for each writer. The meetings, forms and overall workload became impossible to handle. There were editors there working 22 hours per day, every day, all under the guise of getting this so-called “equity ownership.”

One of DiMarkco Chandler’s favorite things to do was to pit people against each other and then watch them fight. He achieved this by telling one person that they were in charge of everything, and then turning around and telling another person the same thing. This resulted in absolute chaos, and outright hatred, of the senior editors, for one another. There was a lot of yelling at meetings over who was the boss of what. In the meantime, our writing time was being stolen by the endless meetings and phone calls to resolve the issue of who had control of what department.

Part of his master manipulation tactics included traditional abuse techniques such as building a person up, then tearing them down with screaming and degradation. This happened over and over. He would tell someone they were “the most important person in the company,” and then do something such as remove their access to different sections of the site. Once, I went on vacation for three days, and when I returned, several of my articles had been removed from the site for bulls*** reasons, although I had been told I was the “most senior executive” right under him. Attempts to meet with him about the issue failed as he consistently made up excuse after excuse about why he could not show up on Skype at the appointed time. I see now that this was all part of his tactic to degrade and destroy the person in order to try to further control them as they sought to get back into his good graces.

As more and more people became disgusted with the treatment they received at the Guardian Liberty Voice, they began flocking online to tell their stories. This led to a lengthy expose written by blogger Carol Tice in which she interviewed ten previous writers, some of whom had not been paid. As the company’s online reputation continued to deteriorate, I was repeatedly called upon to defend it, to continue to produce more and more content and to do more and more work. Since my articles were actually doing well, it was difficult to see the total picture of what was happening.

One day, DiMarkco called me up and told me that he had changed his mind about paying out equity. This, by the way, was the equity that had caused everyone there to work for pennies. The promise of a big cash payout caused people to essentially work for free in hopes of one day seeing actual money. Most of the writers there never received a dime for the work they did, because he would make them wait 50 days to receive the first payout, and by that time, they had either been fired or left on their own. What he failed to tell us in the beginning was that he was using black hat SEO techniques to try to trick the Google search engines into indexing our articles in high positions. This would work some of the time, but not all of time, resulting in most people never seeing any success.

He calls his black hat SEO techniques “universal SEO theory.” However, anyone who knows anything about SEO knows that there is no such thing as “universal SEO theory” because Google is constantly changing its algorithms. Unfortunately, my own ignorance of how search engines work caused me to fall for his tricks. I actually thought that the way he instructed writers to write for SEO is what Google wanted. Now I know that it is actually what Google frowns upon and in fact penalizes.

Chandler’s black hat SEO techniques and overuse of ads on the site eventually caused Guardian Liberty Voice to lose about 90% of its traffic, which meant that all the writers stopped making money, period, including myself. Google caught on to his tactics and they penalized the site. The site went from having massive traffic to having barely anyone visit. This financially devastated me, and I ended up leaving the company a few months ago.

Now, my name is added to the list of people who have not been paid on articles they provided to the paper. In addition, the previous accountant also recently left, citing fraudulent business practices. As it turns out, she alleges that Chandler had been misappropriating funds and hiding taxable income. She also states that many writers have not been paid what they are owed.

I also recently found out that DiMarkco Chandler stands accused of renting out apartments in a building with which he was not affiliated, and that he was once allegedly found guilty of money laundering and fraud in federal court.

It seems Chandler’s newest scam is that he is now calling the boot camp training program “Liberty Voice University,” and he is running an essay contest in which he is charging people money to submit an essay. He will publish these essays and keep the ad revenue for himself while the contestants will most likely never see a dime, just like the hundreds of writers who are financially suffering due to his scam tactics.

I urge you to avoid becoming involved with the Guardian Liberty Voice at all costs. Do not become a victim of DiMarkco Chandler and his con game. There is enough information out there now to convince you of the true nature of this so-called “newspaper.” Save your time, your pride and your money and run in the other direction.

Philadelphia Parking Authority

June 4, 2009 at 4:20 pm (4491546)

Dear Philadelphia Parking Authority:

I am on to your scam. I have heard many stories about defective parking meters and how the PPA purposely puts up defective meters to scam innocent citizens out of our money. None of the meters ever give the time allotted, but yesterday I experienced firsthand how the “defective meter” scam runs. I parked at a meter at 15th and Cecil B. Moore Ave for a business meeting. Not that you people understand what a legitimate business meeting is, but try to imagine for a moment that you’re an honest ethical person who doesn’t work for the PPA and you’re innocently parking for your non-criminal business meeting.

So I park at the meter and I start putting in quarters. The meter takes two of my quarters no problem. On my third quarter, the meter starts flashing “out of order, see time limit.” So I of course stand there and wait for about ten minutes, to see if it will correct itself and give me my 45 minutes. After ten minutes I had to go to my meeting, so I left feeling anxious because I had heard from so many people about this happening, and when they come back to their car, they have a ticket.

I told the woman running the meeting what had happened, and she insisted I go back outside and put a “defective meter” sign on the meter. She even made the sign for me (because the world isn’t 100% full of evil thieving bastards like those who work for the PPA).

So I head back out to my car, delaying my meeting and wasting everyone’s time, when SURPRISE!!! The meter is suddenly and magically working again! And guess what? It is almost run out! YEAH! So now you guys think you’re going to make your big fat $30 because you didn’t count on me coming back, right? CLEVER!

So I call the PPA at Callowhill which is the closest office, and the woman gives me another number to call, which of course has no answer. I try again, and still no answer. By now I have wasted 20 minutes of my associate’s time, and my blood pressure has risen through the roof. I then have to go and find someone to give me change. But because, like I said before, this world has some decent people left in it (hard to believe, right?) I obtained the change I needed and lo and behold the meter finally took my change and worked properly. Of course, when I came back to my car after my meeting, the meter had run out BEFORE IT SHOULD HAVE, but that is your standard scam operation that everyone in the city knows about.

I don’t understand how you people get away with it, but somehow you do. I can only hope the day is coming when the citizens of Philadelphia rise up and demand that this mafia-like, thieving, sleazy, underhanded, dirty, criminal behavior stops once and for all.

Jon and Kate Plus Eight Are Disgusting Morons

May 12, 2009 at 1:48 am (Rants) (, , , , , )

Dear Jon and Kate,

I think it’s really a shame that instead of adopting a baby you decided to contribute to the overpopulation problem by having fertility treatments and 6 additional children besides the two you already had.

It’s people like you that do harm to our society by glorifying yourselves on television as if having eight children were a responsible choice.

I am getting really, really tired of being forced to see the gossip about your family every time I turn on the computer or the news. Even though I would never want to make a law regarding how many children someone could have, I wish that people would make an informed decision based on FACTS instead of an infantile belief in a personal God, and every time I see you online it reminds me how many irresponsible people are out there in the world.

Today YAHOO had this alleged “affair” as its top news story, so I decided to look up the reason why you have 8 children. That’s when I found out you turned down a baby to adopt but then had fertility treatments. Gross.

It would be behoove your family to drop out of the limelight and continue your ruination of the environment privately so I don’t have to be further subjected to this nonsense.

It always seems to be the Christians who have affairs, use drugs, cheat, lie, and steal. The hypocritical behavior of most Christians is sickening, really.

The fact that people like you can get married and have tons of children without regard for the ecosystem, while Gays are not able to marry, is the greatest travesty of justice I have ever seen.

Sorry but when you choose to live your life in the public eye and impose your beliefs on the world, this is the kind of criticism you should expect.

I long for the day when I turn on my computer and don’t have to see your ignorance displayed so clearly.

You are really the lowest common denominator of society. Every time I see your fat sweaty faces I wish it wasn’t illegal to smash them to bits.

Sarah Palin and the Elite: Part of growing up is realizing that there ARE people better than you!

October 23, 2008 at 9:27 pm (4491546)

Sarah Palin needs to grow the hell up! She acts like a fucking 4th grader who thinks that there is no one in the world superior to them. Guess what Sarah Palin? THERE ARE PEOPLE BETTER THAN YOU!!! And there are people better than me.

When did it occur in our society the idea that “there is no one better than me and if they think they’re better than me then they are just an elitist and that’s bad.” It’s so fucking infantile to think that everyone is exactly the same in every way and no one is superior in any regard to another person.

It’s just a matter of maturity to realize that indeed there are people smarter, nicer, richer, prettier, more successful, etc. than yourself. Is everyone really that narcissistic that they honestly believe that there’s no one better than themselves? Wow. That is so childish!

I was shocked when I heard her definition of elite as being “Anyone who thinks they are better than someone else.” Oh and add to that “people who live in Washington and New York City.” It really sounds like children talking rather than intelligent adults. Maybe Palin and McCain are dumbing themselves down for the majority of their base? They have to be. Otherwise why would they speak in such simplistic and infantile terms?

I can list 100 people, right now, who are better than me in almost every way. And I am totally fine with that. It doesn’t mean I don’t aspire to be like them, because I do. It just means that I’m mature enough to realize that there are zillions of people better than me. I don’t think “elite” is a negative thing. If someone thinks they are better than someone else, it’s probably because they are!

Every time Palin opens her fat fucking stupid mouth, she sounds more and more like the President of the League of Morons. It’s unbelievable how many stupid things she says. It’s like her brain is being reverse engineered to think like a child who gets younger and younger and less and less mature.  Just because she has a Down’s Syndrome baby doesn’t mean she should act like one herself. Next thing you know she’ll be telling people “anyone who thinks they’re smarter than my baby is an elitist and that’s bad.”

I’ve never seen such a first class idiot in my entire life.

Blue Ash Ohio Police Department arrests 88 year old for “stealing” kid’s ball

October 21, 2008 at 6:08 pm (4491546) (, , , , , , )

Dear City of Blue Ash:

You are a bunch of fucking assholes. Your police department arrested an 88 year old woman for keeping a kids ball.

The actions of the police department are a disgrace to the country, and a sad commentary on the backwards state of affairs in our nation.

If a ball lands in someone’s yard, it should become their property. And if this is not the law currently, then the law ought to be changed in order to protect homeowners from the extreme nuisance of children disrespecting property.

We as a nation have become absolutely complicit in letting children run wild and behave however they want with no accountability whatsoever. It is easy to see in movie theaters, restaurants, and other public places, and now we are treated as criminals if we demand respect for our own property? RIDICULOUS!

How does it feel to be a national disgrace? I hope that poor woman is released immediately, and if anything happens to her because of the stress of this ordeal, it will be on your heads.

Sarah Palin is a Dumb Ignorant Trashy Bitch!!!

September 3, 2008 at 2:56 pm (Rants) (, , , , , , , , , , , , , , , )

The following is intended as Political Satire.

Definition of satire: a literary work holding up human vices and follies to ridicule or scorn.

Democrats! You need to get up off your asses and start pumping out some ads about Sarah Palin!!! First you can focus on the video where she talks about the war in Iraq being “God’s Will”, then, you can turn the spotlight onto her crazy-ass husband, who belongs to a group that supports Alaskan independence from the United States. Then, you can make an ad pointing out the EXTREME disgusting hypocrisy of the right wing lunatics who preach all about “family values” while they support their 17 year year old daughter being a GIANT WHORE and force her into horrible life of deferred dreams and missed opportunities! I FEEL SO SICK I COULD PUKE INTO SARAH PALIN’S MOUTH!!! She’d probably like it because she’s dirty like that. Come on, you all can tell just by looking at her! Right? You just know she loves to get her freak on! Why do you think her daughter couldn’t keep her legs shut? It’s all genetic ya know!

Anyhow, the Palin family are a bunch of trashy LOSERS who need to move down South or at least to West Virginia! Would they not feel more at home sitting on their porch, strummin’ on a washboard and shukin’ corn for moonshine?

Sarah Palin is so stupid that she yammers on and on about Jesus and God. We just can’t have someone who ACTUALLY believes in that crap! At least when Obama does it I know he doesn’t really mean it and is just doing it to pander to the morons in our country. Jesus is a pagan sun-God story, you crazy dumb dumbs!!! we can’t have a Vice President or President who seemingly truly believes in Jesus! Just look what happened the last eight years with Bush! Our society is in RUINS!!! No one can afford gas! We’re involved in a horrible war! The environment is falling apart! Ice shelves are floating off to sea! Snow caps are melting! WAKE UP YOU IDIOT NIMROD REPUBLICANS!!! JESUS DOESN’T EXIST!!! And if he did, I highly doubt he would lead us into the situation we’re in now! DUHHHHHHHHH!!!

Now, someone tell me, do these people (Republicans) honestly think that the United States is in a good situation right now? Really? Like do they really think that not being able to afford to drive to work is something that Jesus would want? Because George Bush is all up in Jesus’s ass, so wouldn’t it stand to reason that Jesus would be guiding the country and helping out? Well if this is what Jesus leads us into, I say FUCK YOU, JESUS!!!

Now let us move on to Sarah Palin’s lack of experience. How dare these fake-smiling Republican women play the “woman card” and tell anyone who criticizes Palin’s experience that they are being “demeaning to women”? What a JOKE!!! Cut me a break! She’s not a lightweight, she’s a featherweight! Mayor of a tiny Alaskan town and Governer for not even two years??? That is who will be President if John McCain succumbs to old age. Under two years experience is NOT ENOUGH qualify someone to be President or Vice President. And these are the same people who yammered on and on about Obama not having enough experience! HYPOCRITES ALL! What will Sarah Palin say when she sits down with world leaders? She’s in soooo far over her head it’s scary!

And she is also a BAD MOTHER. Yes, that’s right. But not for the reasons you’re thinking (neglecting and abondoning a special-needs child). She’s a bad mother because she KNEW her young daughter was pregnant and yet she did not care about the consequences her daughter would face in the press. She thrust her young girl into the vicious attacks of the media and bloggers like me without a care in the world. DISGUSTING.

So let’s review. Sarah Palin: BAD MOTHER, DUMB, NO EXPERIENCE, TRASHY, MEAN, CRAZY. Now is that who you want as VP of our country?

Come on Democrats! Get with the program! You have so much fodder here! And to you, Barack Obama, stop being so damn good and upright, would ya? You need to start ripping this woman the new and improved giant asshole she wants and deserves!

Join with me in destroying Sarah Palin’s name and reputation in a mean-spirited yet highly effective way by slamming her with negative ads and smear campaigns! YEAH! WOOOHOOOO Screw you Sarah Palin! you SUCK!!!!!!!!

American Idol Donations

April 11, 2008 at 9:23 pm (4491546)

Take back your donations from the Idol Gives Back Foundation and give them directly to the charity itself. American Idol seems to be controlled by Fundamentalist Christian interests as I said in my last post. Hopefully this will show up in searches for “Idol Donations”. I would love it if people withdrew their money and gave them to the charities directly. No more Jesus songs! Stop alienating half of the United States! YOU SUCK American Idol!!! Screw you!

I’m Taking Back my American Idol Donation and so Should You!

April 11, 2008 at 5:13 pm (Rants)

Dear American Idol,

After viewing last night's show, I was deeply offended
by the song the Idols sang called "Shout To the Lord."

As an Atheist married to a Jewish person, I was
horrified and disgusted by the obvious pandering to
the Evangelical sector who were angry about the
removal of the word "Jesus" in the song on Wednesday
night.

I guess American Idol feels it must cater to a sub-set
of viewers while completely ignoring the fact that
"America" is a diverse religious nation composed of
many different religious groups. Since the show is
called "American Idol", it really should not alienate
half of the American population by singing a deeply
religious song such as "Shout to the Lord." At least
Wednesday night's version used the word "Shepard"
which was a more general term and could be applied to
other religions. Thursday night's version was deeply
offensive.

So, after careful and thoughtful consideration I am
withdrawing my donation. Please advise how I can go
about receiving my donation back.

I will re-donate my money directly to a non-partisan
charity whose work I can be assured is not driven by
the interests of evangelical Christians.

Sincerely,

Celebrities are stupid; Reason #1007 why Gay marriage should be legal

February 19, 2008 at 6:00 pm (Rants)

Celebrities are sooooooo stupid. They all end up getting divorced, don’t they? Why do they get married in the first place then?

Why are celebrities allowed to get married and make a mockery out of marriage by getting divorced weeks later, and Gays who have been together 10, 20, 40 years are not allowed to get married? It’s disgusting.

I say we ban celebrity marriages, starting today. The ban shall last until Gays are allowed to marry. Celebrity marriages are a bad example for children,  and they go against family values.

A Gay couple who has been together for 30 years can’t get married, but disgusting vile filthy dirty hideous bad mother (hereafter referred to as DVFDHBM for short) Pam Anderson  can get married and divorced time after time as many times as she wants, and this last marriage to Dirtbag Scum of the Year Rick Solomon last like weeks, but that is acceptable in our culture? Why? What couple would you want raising your children? Peg and Deb, who have been together for 10 years, play softball on the weekends, raise orchids, are doctors, and volunteer in their spare time, or… DVFDHBM Pam Anderson and Rick Solomon? I mean, really, who would you rather??? Think about it.

And yet,  DVFDHBM Pam Anderson has children, and can run around and do whatever she wants, and get married to someone she has known for a few days, and whatever, and that’s all fine and legal. And she would be able to adopt children no problem, and her husband of the moment can be listed as the kids father, no problem, while Gays have to struggle to adopt children and if their partner has a baby, the other partner has to go through tons of legal expense and stress just to be named the second parent.  It’s total bullshit! It makes me sick.

I call for an immediate and enforced ban on celebrity marriages! Stop this bullcrap now!

Letter to a Christian Nation

February 11, 2008 at 4:19 am (Rants)

Every person on the face of the earth needs to read “Letter to a Christian Nation” immediately. I wish I could post the entire book on this blog, because the author, Sam Harris, has perfectly articulated every thought and feeling I have had over the past few years, namely that organized religion poses the greatest single threat to our society today.  Among many of the excellent and brilliant points he makes in the book is the fact that Christians do not seem to have any interest in alleviating human suffering by doing things like, say, pushing for stem cell research or distributing condoms to AIDS-plagued societies, but rather they prolong human suffering by clinging to fantasies like souls living in a petri dish and God caring about who we sleep with. His book is so awesome I can’t possibly synopsize it here. Read his book and you will be a better person.
